FRIENDS BENEFIT FROM £500 DONATION
Wimborne Rotary has made a donation of £500 to the Friends of Victoria Hospital, Wimborne. At a recent meeting Rotarians welcomed Anne Salter, Chairman of the Friends of Victoria Hospital, together with Friends Treasurer, Jenny Leeder.
After hearing from Anne about recent projects and the work of the Friends, she briefly outlined the history to the charity which celebrates 90 years of supporting this community hospital in 2025.
Wimborne Rotary President, Brian Dryden, presenting Jenny with the donation of £500 saying, “I am pleased to hand over this donation in recognition of the support which the Friends have given both to the hospital and, in turn, to the wider Wimborne community.
“Victoria Hospital is a precious asset to all in the local community and without the work of the Friends over many years it would not be what it is today,” he added.
