The Wimborne Fly Fishers invited The Friends of Victoria Hospital to their May meeting at the Cobham Club so that they could present the charity with the proceeds of one of their fund-raising events. Following recommendations from club members a charity was nominated. The nomination was put forward by Mr and Mrs Ray Willis in memory of a friend.
Sue Lockwood, Secretary, gave a presentation about the work of the charity, and then was delighted to receive a cheque for £1,100.00. The photograph shows Mr and Mrs Willis presenting the cheque to Sue Lockwood.
